John Watts was a good friend in graduate school at NC State (a year behind me in my landscape architecture program). Isaac, we actually interviewed him at Trinity Works for the SBR project. I often wonder if getting that job would have made a difference for him/ his life. He was such a good person - full of life, happy and a friend to everyone. John made a difference and I should have told him that more often - it is very rare that you find good friends. He was a good friend - free of judgement. He mattered. In November, 2017, John took his own life in Durham NC in a fatal accident on US 15 501.
