I am also riding for my friend John Hammond on the ride into New Orleans. John was also a great friend of my fellow Light the Trail Ride teammates Kent Marcoux and Robert Schumacher. As an Episcopal priest, Kent presided over John’s funeral and Robert and I were one his several pall bearers. There is lots of joy felt when we remember our friend John, but the one trait of his that sticks with me is that John was kind to everyone. We all loved him.
